This event will have six puzzles and a metapuzzle.
The puzzles in this event will be comparable in difficulty to Puzzled Pint. In other words, they will be beginner-friendly. If you are a beginner, you might benefit from glancing at our Encodings page. A few concepts on that page will be used, and any encodings in use by a puzzle will also be clearly called out in that puzzle’s hints.
We recommend that all players have a computer, since many of the puzzles are solvable online and some content will be in video form. That said, puzzles will be printable wherever possible, so you can play with a single computer if desired.
Puzzle answers must be submitted online to unlock additional information; answer submission is possible via a phone/tablet but the experience is optimized for a computer.
No. All puzzles have interactive players and printing should not be necessary. That said, all puzzles can be solved on paper if you prefer that experience; use the link in the top right of the puzzle to print.
No. This event has nothing to do with Microsoft. It just happens to be written by two people who are highly familiar with the server that runs those events.
